Remote Meeting
From the President
Due to COVID-19 concerns, expressed by the membership, recommendations by the CDC, local government officials, and Medicare, please note the following changes to the March 14th Board Meeting and the March 21st Semi-Annual Member Meeting.
March 14th Board Meeting – will be closed to the general membership and held through remote meeting among the Board Members. Unless urgent and/or necessary for normal operations, all business normally presented in the Open Session of the Regular Board Meeting will be postponed and held over for a future meeting. Actions taken by the Board normally in the Open Session of the Regular Board meetings will be disclosed in ThingsnStuff and on the LMCH Website within a week after the Board meeting.
March 21st Semi-Annual Member Meeting – will be postponed until such time that, it is determined the meeting can be rescheduled. Because this action is unprecedented our Bylaws do not speak to the matter, but legal counsel has confirmed that under the developing COVID-19 crisis, Washington State Law supports the decision to postpone the meeting.
For the time being, LMCH management and the Board of Directors will endeavor to continue to operate on the budget currently approved by the Membership. This is a temporary measure.
The level/extent of the COVID-19 crisis is still unknown, and the impact to our community cannot be fully anticipated. As such I ask that the membership remain patient as the LMCH Leadership and Staff strive to develop appropriate responses to the challenges COVID-19 presents.
Thank you for your Support
